In the heart of the Bourbonnais, Saint-Pourçain, Vignoble Bourbonnais is a land of authenticity, where more than 2,000 years of winemaking history meet a beautifully preserved way of life. Across its diverse terroirs, winemakers craft distinctive wines from Tressallier, Chardonnay, Gamay and Pinot Noir.

Beyond the vineyards, the destination invites you to discover a rich heritage, unspoilt nature, generous local cuisine and time-honoured craftsmanship. Clairette Drôme Vallée offers a unique territory where landscapes, wines and gastronomy delight all the senses. The vineyard, reaching nearly 700 metres in altitude between the Vercors massif and the Drôme River, flourishes on marl and clay-limestone soils, benefiting from a microclimate ideal for producing high-quality grapes.

Winemakers craft surprising cuvées thanks to the excellence of the terroir and the diversity of grape varieties. Between soaring hillsides and the meandering Rhône River, the Northern Rhône Valley offers a journey through one of France’s oldest winegrowing regions. This territory brings together seven prestigious appellations: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Château-Grillet, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage and Cornas. The Cœur de Savoie & Chambéry Montagnes destination stretches for around thirty kilometres between Chambéry and Albertville, along the Combe de Savoie.

Set on the slopes of the Chartreuse, Belledonne and Bauges massifs, it forms the gateway to Savoie from Grenoble and lies close to the towns of Chambéry and Albertville. It is also a crossroads leading to the Tarentaise and Maurienne valleys and on towards Italy.

Exploring the vineyards of Cœur de Savoie & Chambéry Montagnes means discovering a vineyard anchored to mountain slopes, shaped by a living savoir-faire and a distinctive terroir. It also reveals a remarkable architectural heritage: castles and fortified houses, ancient priories, grand residences, old mills, dry-stone walls, traditional hamlets and sartos — all contributing to an authentic mountain landscape full of character.

Meeting the winemakers of Cœur de Savoie is an invitation to share, exchange and taste so-called “heroic” wines – with some vineyards clinging to slopes as steep as 70% — alongside rare and distinctive grape varieties.

Awarded the Vignobles & Découvertes label in 2011, the Cœur de Savoie & Chambéry Montagnes region is home to the largest share of Savoyard vineyards (around 800 hectares). It also boasts numerous Vin de Savoie AOC crus, including Abymes, Apremont, Arbin, Chignin, Chignin-Bergeron, Cruet, Montmélian and Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte.

The main grape varieties grown here are Mondeuse, Mondeuse Blanche, Gamay, Persan, Douce Noire (Corbeau), Jacquère (predominantly), Roussanne (Bergeron), Altesse and Chardonnay.

The Vignobles & Découvertes label has been awarded to the wine tourism destination “Vineyards of Savoie – Aix-les-Bains, Riviera of the Alps” in recognition of the quality of its visitor offer. Bringing together the Jongieux and Chautagne winegrowing areas, the destination unites around 50 selected partners — winemakers, accommodation providers, restaurants, activity providers and heritage sites — all driven by a shared passion for craftsmanship and centuries-old know-how.

In a warm and relaxed atmosphere, enjoy regional produce and wines crafted in the the surrounding vineyards.
